Shoshonean Indian Creation Legend
   This tribe of North American Indians have a myth that at the time of some great disaster they sought refuge in a great cave called the Sipapu, from which they safely emerged to people the world. They have a vague belief in a sky father and an earth mother which has almost faded into obscurity. This is also the myth of the Comanche Indians.
